LANDER 183 - CRAFTING SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Crafting System Overview – How It Works
In Lander 183, crafting is how you create new gear using collected blueprints and materials. Every crafted item is generated from scratch with unique traits, stats, and visuals — no two items are the same.
Step 1 – Gathering Materials and Blueprints
You’ll earn materials and blueprints by playing: enemies drop them, chests contain them, can be brought from shop and missions reward them.
Each blueprint is tied to both an item type (Helmet, Suit, Gloves, Boots, Band, or Utility) and an item tier (1 through 5). To craft something, you’ll need:
A blueprint for that item type and tier
Enough required materials (varies based on item)
Blueprints and material requirements are automatically tracked in the crafting UI, so you’ll always know if you're ready to craft.
Step 2 – Crafting the Item
Once you meet the requirements, you can craft the item. Here’s what happens under the hood:
Style selection: The system randomly chooses a style from the available visuals for that item type and tier.
Stat generation:
Each item gets a forced stat based on its type. For example:
Helmets always get Range
Suits always get Armour
Gloves always get Pickup Range
Boots always get Speed
Utility items always get Cooldown and a randomly assigned Utility Type (e.g., Dash, Teleport, Shield)
Bands roll all stats completely at random
Then, two additional stats are randomly chosen from a pool that includes Health, Damage, Elemental Damage, Armour, Dodge, and Luck.
Quality roll: The item quality (Worn → Perfect) is randomly rolled based on your character’s current Luck stat. Higher Luck increases the chance of rolling higher quality tiers, with diminishing returns.
Perks: After the item is created, the PerkManager assigns perks based on its attributes. This is separate from stat generation and happens immediately after the item is built.
Step 3 – Results
Once the item is crafted:
It’s automatically added to your inventory
It appears in the UI for immediate inspection
A matching transmog (visual style) is unlocked permanently for cosmetic use
All blueprints and materials used in the craft are consumed immediately.
Wishlist Crafting
If you’ve added a specific item to your wishlist, you can use a wishlist craft instead of a normal one. This:
Guarantees a Perfect-quality version of that exact item
Preserves the exact style and perks from the wishlist item
Still consumes materials and resets your wishlist craft usage for the day
You gain one wishlist item per 10 crafts
Salvaging
Not happy with the item? Salvage it directly from your inventory to recover a portion of the materials used. Salvaging does not refund blueprints, but lets you reroll more frequently without grinding out materials again.
Quick Summary
Crafting uses item-specific blueprints + materials
Items have guaranteed stats based on type, and 2 random extras
Quality is influenced by your Luck stat, but capped
Perks are assigned after creation by the PerkManager
Wishlist crafts = Perfect version of exactly what you want
Salvage items for partial material refunds
